Meet The Boys

Victor Alvarez

Picture
Victor Paul Alvarez is the youngest of three sons born to Gloria and Manuel Alvarez. Born in 1972, he began his newspaper career in high school as a copy boy at The Baltimore Sun. That career ended some 20 years later when The Boston Globe fired him for writing a story about former House Speaker John Boehner that went viral and was considered to be in bad taste.
Now he works at a bank and writes in the evenings.
An accomplished cook, Victor has worked in restaurant kitchens in Philadelphia and Rhode Island. He has two young children, Henry and Charlotte. He is known for trying to convince people that “Predator” is one of the best films ever made. And he’s right.

Daniel was the middle child born in 1960. He followed in his father's footsteps and was fascinated with the way mechanical things worked, often following his father around and learning every tool in his tool box at a very young age. When not building forts and go-karts Danny spent a lot of time in the family kitchens of his parents and grandparents, treasuring the traditions and flavors of ethnic recipes tied to Spain, Italy and Poland.  Graduate of Mt. St Joe in 1978 and  the MEBA Merchant Marine Academy in 1981. Married to Susan Renee in 1983 and has 2 girls, Erica and Brittany. Following a brief career in the Merchant Marine field he worked as a Stationary Engineer for 30 years and now works with his son in law as a partner in his Real Estate business Team Rupert. His interests are cooking, gardening, writing and sharing his love of the Chesapeake Bay on his little 22' pocket cruiser the "Susan Renee" with his wife and grandson.
